60 Years in the United Kingdom

 

Bechtel have provided service to customers in the United Kingdom for more than 60 years, designing and building projects including power plants, refineries, rail systems, and communication networks and supporting national defence.

 

Their London office has taken a lead role in some of the UK's most important projects, including the West Coast Main Line, and Channel Tunnel and High Speed 1, the nation's first high-speed rail line.

Clean Energy for the UK

 

Leading efforts to provide low-carbon electricity in the UK, Bechtel has been selected alongside joint venture partners to help deliver a new, two-reactor nuclear plant in Wales for Horizon Nuclear Power; and Bechtel is driving development of a new small, modular nuclear reactor program aimed at deploying more affordable, factory made units to replace ageing coal-fired plants.
